Load your data into QGIS

Now you’ve downloaded your chosen data to your computer, try to load it into QGIS

Some questions to help you manage this task and ask for help:

• Is the dataset in a familiar file format? For example, shapefiles (.shp) or GeoJSON for vector data; HDF or .img for raster data
• Do you know how to load this format of data into QGIS?
• Does it need converting to another format before QGIS can read it? Do you need help with that step?
